A crypto trader known as Vida reportedly made over $1.5 million by exploiting a New Year's Day anomaly on Binance. According to reports, the trader identified a large buy order for the token BROCCOLI714 and capitalized on the situation. Vida initially suspected a hacked account or market-making bug and adjusted their trading strategy accordingly. The trader noticed a $26 million buy wall on the spot market, which they considered unusual for a token with a $40 million market cap. Binance has not yet commented on the incident, according to reports.
