The Solana network successfully absorbed a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack peaking at 6 terabits per second, according to reports. The number of active operators has decreased by over 35% in 2025, driven by the Solana Foundation's policy changes. The network is now increasingly run by professional infrastructure shops, leading to validator consolidation and centralization concerns.
